Presented by Alan Shoosmith This structured evening course covers a wide range of subjects across ten weekly two-hour sessions. Suitable for beginners and improvers it introduces materials for drawing and watercolour and gives an opportunity to practice a variety of themes including: still life; land and seascapes; flowers and trees. Terri will be giving a talk on the Celts in Ireland as part of the BurrenBeo Tea & Talks series. Most discussions on the Celts focus on their violent history and their wars with the Romans, or their gruesome sacrifical practices. Terri will be giving a talk next week on the history of Caher House, a lovely early nineteenth century house by the shores of Lough Graney. This house has seen two hundred years of Irish history and has recently been completely renovated. Its grounds are now a private biodiversity reserve with some magnificent ancient trees.
